During registration of your profile, the onboarding, you need to scan your id document (passport, id card or drivers license). This is a very precise process since it is important that fakes of different sorts are detected and only valid IDs can be registered. Due to this rigorous process sometimes valid IDs can be refused. The solution to this is to follow the instructions carefully, i.e. having good lighting, having the ID on an area emptied of other objects that could disturb, and be sure that there are no reflections and such that could make the reading of the ID more difficult.
Sometimes you may need to repeat the process a few times before the system accepts the ID.

Since you as the user are the only one who can share the information you have chosen to store with us, your data is safe. We never share your user data with anyone, it is only you who chooses who and what will have access to your data. This means also that we are compliant with the regulations that govern privacy policies.

For you as a user, Verifiero is free to download, register your account with ID and facial recognition. That is, to onboard. Currently, it is free to use online, onsite and between two users. That is, no hidden fees.
-
In the process of onboarding we are using a service from a trusted provider of solutions for scanning and verifying IDs, where different checks are done to detect false and fabricated IDs.

The Alias is used to protect your privacy before sharing any information with any other user. You send your Alias to the other person, through the channel where you and the other user already have contact, and in this way you do not need to share your e-mail or phone number with an unknown user.
-
Once you’re onboard we won’t share your data to anyone without your consent, meaning we will ask you every time with details of what data is being shared to which company, e.g. when logging in or verifying yourself somewhere. You can always see your data sharing history in our app under your pages, so you’ll have the full overview of your digital footprint that’s been made with Verifiero.
Another concern you might have is ”What if Verifiero decide to change their privacy policy and start selling my data?”. It’s a fair question, but we can guarantee that if we against our moral and all odds would do that, we would give our existing users a proper chance to delete their data and remove their account before we share or sell any data. It will be transparent and clear, but again - it’s unlikely to happen!
